MY HARVEST IS FULL

Closure.

Halloween has its roots in marking endings - the closure of summer and its harvest, and the transition into winter and new beginnings.

This pumpkin represents the growth and beauty I received from a former lover who is no longer in my life. 

That relationship cracked me open and exposed me to my natural essence - of what I'm truly made of, and who I really am. 

Receiving the seeds of our experience, planting them in fertile soil, and nurturing them to grow has brought me to closure.

Ghosts of the past - what was and what could have been - were haunting. 

Grief is never easy, and you don't know how long it will last. 

My trick was allowing myself to feel.  The treat was integrating what we shared. 

My love for him will go on - now, in a new form.  That version of me is a costume I no longer wear.
