THE LEGEND OF IRVING HOLLOW
This piece is a tribute to Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
Long ago, this was a silent realm – a cradle of mist and shadow where lanterns burned, even at midday. It was here that a man named Irving appeared. He claimed the place for his own, and the world came to whisper its name…Irving Hollow. One autumn night, beneath a moon as red as blood, Irving vanished. Some say he was claimed by the Hollow itself. Since then, the Hollow has lain cloaked in darkness. Travelers speak of voices that slip through the black – beckoning them deeper. Irving Hollow no longer appears on any map. But, when the wind turns cold, and the shadows grow long, some still hear its call – soft, irresistible… and cursed. Beware! Those who linger too long in Irving Hollow rarely remember the way out.
